RSS Readers Kill Readers’ Involvement?
Louis Gray has posted an interesting discussion on how RSS readers defeat the involvement of readers in active discussions on blog entries. Instead, we just read and click ‘next’. I think he makes a good point.
As Scoble and Israel wrote in ‘Naked Conversations’, blogs are about community and public discussions. I think a blog is only as good as the amount of perspectives it provides. These perspectives are provided by the readers via comments and trackbacks.

Communities rock, Single perspective entries don’t.
With that said, I’m really thankful for all of you who comment on my entries and share your two cents. Without you all, this blog wouldn’t be as interesting.
Keep the comments coming! I love getting e-mails with new comment notifications (except when it’s spam :p).

I appreciate the comment dw! RSS readers rock, I couldn’t imagine reading blogs any other way. The next gen batch of reader should include interactive and simple commenting functions straight within the reader.
That would make it super easy AND super convenient to join the discussion.
