Geekwhat is Taking Over the World!
(Not) :) I’ve been writing this blog for about two years now (but blogging consistently and seriously only since seven to eights months ago). It’s pretty sweet to look back every now and then to monitor the progress made on a website. About a month ago, I installed Google Analytics for geekwhat.com to check out some stats.
Here is my current viewership chart for the last week:

I had no idea that I’d been getting this many visitors from people in Europe and all over America. Pretty astounding stuff (granted some of the visits are from one time visitors who ventured in through a search engine query). I’ve also surpassed Goal #2 that I set for myself in my 3 goals of 2007.
I think part of this is due to Robert Scoble’s blog entry a month ago when he recommended my blog. That certainly boosted my RSS viewership and overall traffic quite a bit. Thanks again Robert!
Anyway, I guess the bottom line is.. thanks to everyone who reads this blog. Yes YOU :) I’ll continue churning out decent to awesome content for you all.
It would be awesome to know where in the world you are checking out geekwhat.com from.
Where are you on the map?

Wow! I’m impressed by all the readers from different locations.
With more readers, more people will want to participate in your blog since they know other people will be reading, and then the cycle perpetuates from there.
I think once you get the snowball going, the momentum kinda does it for you. You know what I mean?
Congrats and good job! I’m sure it’s very FULFILLING! ;o)

Thanks for the encouraging words! Floria, I’m always happy when people react and reflect on my blog entries. It gets the ball rolling and brings up new perspectives. Half the time I’m probably wrong. But only when someone points it out. ;)
dw, not sure if RSS visits appear on the map… good question.
