A Google Search for “geekwhat”
Posted on 24 January 2007
I just searched Google for “geekwhat” as I do almost everyday (shameless) :) and this is what usually comes up:

I know that I’ve succeeded when the “Did you mean: geek what?” no longer shows up in a “geekwhat” Google query.:p
I wonder if it’s a human being selecting the words that yield a “Did you mean…” or is it a machine? If the query (even if it’s not an English word) is prevalent enough on the internet, is it grounds for eliminating the “Did you mean…” ?
TechEBlog and Engadget aren’t real English words, but no “Did you mean…”

Hi Tony,
I used to do vanity search on my name everyday too. I still got the “Did you mean:” problem when I entered the search phrase shi hengcheong.
However, I’ve got over the search term shihengcheong and it took quite some time for Google to “understand” that shihengcheongalso means shi heng cheong.
I believe that when more web pages have the mentioned of geekwhat or geekwhat.com, that “Did you mean:” will disappear.
However, it will take some time. Good luck!
