My Own RSS Button of Love
Inspired by cctech’s post on the world’s largest RSS button, I’ve now implemented a ginormous RSS button of my own on the sidebar:
What happens when you click this button?
You subscribe to the greatest blog ever written EVER :) (yours truly) It is free and in my opinion a lot easier to follow blogs in a reader (e.g. Google Reader, Bloglines).
I admit it. I am hungry for more subscribers, YOU must feed me (pun intended). Bad joke, but stellar point :) Anthony over at cctech informed me that their subscribers jumped by 20 immediately after they implemented the huge RSS button. Let’s see if we repeat those stats over here. I am currently at 9 readers. For a little more on subscribing, read this.
If you own a blog, I encourage you to try this strategy. Feel free to download the button here.
Join the party! Click the orange button of love!
» Bonus: Check out other posts in the Projects, Think category.

Everyone,
Tony left that comment above (from my computer/login). I’m sorry, but the truth must be told!
Besides, who else uses such a cheesy word as “yummy”?
:o)

Well, it was big enough to get me to get on board. You (and Anthony) are now live bookmarks in my firefox. I guess I should think about using your RSS button!

haha nice button. that thing is huge. btw, i just signed up for a feed burner account the other day just to see what all the fuss was about, and i still haven’t figured it out yet. other than getting enough subscribers to qualify for their FAN network, i don’t really see the point. care to educate me?

Thanks Jesse. It’s basically a way to reaffirm yourself of how cool and popular your website is :)
It also helps you retain the readers who may’ve unintentionally dropped by your site by accident one day when surfing the net (and thought your material was pretty sweet). If they use a RSS reader and click your button, at least your site will be there tomorrow morning for them when you update.
Kinda like … exchanging #s or business cards after meeting someone for the first time…
Hope that helps, did I miss anything?

Done - it was the button I was waiting for and not really the good content :) that you give all the credit to in your latest post.
Now you have to tell me how to get that button up there Tony!

Glad the button could help some of you out. After implementing the button, my readership has jumped up to around 20-30. That’s about double my original amount of readers. So I guess it does help :)
